Natalie has worked with Driftwood since November 2025. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of South Carolina and educational specialist degree in school psychology at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 2021. She enjoys working with young children and families to support their needs. In her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family in the mountains and loves trying local coffee spots.

Ashia was born and raised in the Lowcountry. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Winthrop University, and her Ed.S. in School Psychology from the Citadel Graduate College. She has been working with children and families since 2019 as a school psychologist. Ashia is also a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES).

She has worked with children of all ages and believes in a collaborative approach when working with families. Ashia is passionate about listening to the needs and concerns of families, and uses the results of the evaluation to help families better understand the strengths and needs of their child, as well as to equip parents with tools, resources and support. In her free time, Ashia enjoys golfing trips with her husband, spending time with her three children, and social walking.

Erica received both her Master’s and Specialist degrees in Psychology at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, and completed two years of experience in a neuropsychology clinic. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES). Since 2022, she has worked as a school psychologist, serving individuals across age groups and a wide range of disability-related needs. She has also completed two additional years of clinical mentorship and is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She currently provides PRN psychological services for Driftwood while pursuing her Ph.D. and working full-time for Horry County Schools.

Drue Draper, Ed.S., LPES, is a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist with 18 years of experience serving children and families in the Charleston area. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from UNC-Asheville before completing her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree at Western Carolina University. Throughout her career, Drue has worked with children across all age groups, providing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and support. She is especially passionate about evaluating and advocating for children with autism, a field to which she has dedicated years of specialized focus and clinical expertise. Drue is committed to helping families navigate developmental pathways and supports. Drue resides in Charleston with her husband and three daughters. 

Christina has worked with Driftwood since March 2024. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Furman University in 2015 and educational specialist degree in school psychology at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 2018. Christina has served multiple school districts in South Carolina. She is a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES) and enjoys directing families towards local resources and supports. Christina loves to spend time in nature with her husband and daughter.

Lindsay Hill Merritt is a practicing school psychologist in Charleston, South Carolina with eight years of experience supporting students, families, and school communities. She is passionate about the work she does and brings that dedication to her role as a report writer with Driftwood. Lindsay enjoys using her experience and expertise to create thoughtful, meaningful reports that support the needs of those she serves. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her family and being outside!

Jana is a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist with a Specialist in Education (EdS) degree in School Psychology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Wofford College and earned her Master’s and Specialist degrees in School Psychology through The Citadel’s College of Graduate and Professional Studies.

With more than 20 years of experience as a school psychologist, Jana has worked with children and adolescents in public, charter, and private school settings throughout Charleston and Berkeley Counties. She is passionate about supporting children with special needs and learning, developmental, or behavioral challenges. Jana values partnering with families to provide thoughtful, comprehensive evaluations and to connect them with resources and support that help their children thrive.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and their extended family and friends.

Shelby was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She obtained her master’s degree with an advanced certificate in School Psychology from the University at Buffalo. She moved to South Carolina in 2021 and hasn’t looked back since! Shelby loves living in the south, the warm weather, and being by the coast! She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES). Shelby is passionate about educating families about their child’s specific needs based on the results of their evaluation. When not working, you can find her lifting weights, at the beach, or enjoying live music!

Lee is a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist and earned her Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. She has approximately 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in school, community, and private practice settings.

Lee has extensive experience conducting comprehensive evaluations for autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning concerns, and other developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs. Having worked for many years within public schools, she brings a strong understanding of both the evaluation process and the educational systems families navigate after receiving a diagnosis.

Lee enjoys the problem-solving aspect of assessment—bringing together developmental history, observation, testing, and the perspectives of families and educators to understand the whole child. She believes an evaluation should provide more than a diagnosis; it should give families clear, practical recommendations that can be used to support their child at home, at school, and in the community.

Outside of work, Lee enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, singing, and playing the piano.

Andrew J. Preston is a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist in the state of South Carolina and has been working in public schools since 2004. He is an advocate for providing access to psychoeducational evaluations for children and adults. He is passionate about the mission statement of Driftwood Evaluation Center: We provide comprehensive, compassionate, individualized and personal attention to each and every client.

Dr. Raposa has been with Driftwood since March 2024 and has been a school psychologist for 25 years. She works as a school psychologist in the Charleston area in addition to her work at Driftwood. Beth earned a B.A. from Northeastern University, an M.A. in Counseling from Rhode Island College, and a C.A.G.S. in School Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. She earned her doctoral degree from Concordia University.

Beth spent 21 years working as a school psychologist, special education administrator, and adjunct faculty at a local university in the Los Angeles area before moving to Charleston in 2021. She is a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES). Beth is passionate about helping families in a compassionate and supportive way as they navigate the evaluation process and beyond. In her free time, she enjoys time with her two children, surfing, and woodworking.

Laura joined Driftwood in 2026. She is originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, and earned her
Specialist Degree in School Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is a
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist
(LPES).

As the spouse of a military service member, Laura has had the opportunity to work with
children and adults in a variety of mental health settings across multiple states, gaining valuable
experience serving diverse populations. After her family settled in the Midlands in 2016, she
began serving students in a local school district supporting the academic, social, and emotional
well-being of children.

Laura is passionate about helping individuals and their families understand their unique
differences, build on their strengths, and connect with the resources they need to reach their
full potential. She is committed to fostering confidence, resilience, and success for the children
and families she serves.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, gardening, being near the water,
and making memories with her family and friends.

Mary-Catherine has been with Driftwood since March 2024. She is a full-time school psychologist at a charter school in the Charleston area and has worked in several districts in the tri-county area since graduating with her education specialist from The Citadel in 2018. Mary-Catherine is a licensed psychoeducational specialist (LPES) and is passionate about advocating for client’s educational and developmental needs and highlighting their strengths as part of the evaluation process. Mary-Catherine resides in Mount Pleasant, SC with her husband.

Shannon has been with Driftwood since January 2023 and has been a school psychologist since 2012. She has worked in multiple school districts around Charleston, SC. She enjoys providing schools and families support on how to address the unique needs of all children. Shannon has worked with children of all ages across elementary, middle, and high schools. She is familiar with Applied Behavior Analysis and addressing the needs of children with Autism. Shannon lives in Charleston with her husband and their two children.

Becca has been with Driftwood Evaluation since March 2023. She moved to Hanahan, South Carolina in June 2022 from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts after graduating from Worcester State University with her M.Ed. and Ed.S. In School Psychology. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES). She currently works as a full-time school psychologist in a high school.

Becca is excited to be a part of this growing company and help make a difference in this community. In her free time, she helps coach her high school cheer-leading team and spends time with her friends, family, and cats.
